Singapore, 55th floor – I would NEVER have guessed I’d end up there because everything fell apart in 2019 …

It was the year in which my HR world turned upside down, and…

I wasn’t personally an early adopter of the tech industry, and start-ups were not on my radar, especially not for me!

#Startup
Rooted in HR, I have experienced everything from employment contracts to an infinite number of different shift models (not entirely true because HR has a daily surprise in store).

#Downside
HR would be fun if not for the other side: the struggle with digitalization without a plan, inefficient processes, and an increasing flood of administrative tasks.

The #turnaround
came at HRM Asia. There I realized what real speed and technological progress (and support) mean in HR!

#Inspired
The HR transformation of Bridgestone inspired me:

  • 14 entities in Asia
  • 25,000employees
  • 10 countries
  • capture all (partly paper-based) HR processes
  • some processes had been in place for over 50 years

 

Time & cost savings and better HR quality through digitalization were the goal.

I was #fascinated
that this process could be simpler and faster.
On the flight home, I sketched the idea for an HR process analytics SaaS. And yes, until then, I had no idea about programming, software architecture, or even AI, but something drove me and wouldn’t let me rest!
